About

Well, I’m just a guy going to seminary. I’m married to a gal (7 1/2 years!) who is going to seminary too. We have two kids who, while they aren’t officially enrolled in seminary, are hopefully learning how to love Jesus as they watch and listen to mom and dad… go to seminary.

Before I was just a guy going to seminary I was just a guy who did campus ministry. I did that for about 7 years and have to say that campus ministry is amazing. Whatever the Lord has in store after seminary, I hope there are college students involved… if not, I’ll be a wee bit sad.

Before my wife was just a gal going to seminary she was just a gal who was (for a short while) a flight attendant, a financial specialist, and most recently a stay at home mom. She’s also a gal with a small obsession for natural products… so, as a family, we eat organic food, the kids wear cloth diapers, and she grinds her own wheat for the bread she makes from scratch every week… uh, yeah… she’s impressive.

The kids… well, there’s little man. He’s almost 3 and always makes me smile. He gives amazing hugs and can pray like a champ. Yesterday, as I was leaving to go speak at a campus meeting he came and gave me a big hug and prayed, “God, please help da-da be smart. Jesus name, amen.” How can you not love that!

Little man has a younger sister, Sweet Pea. Sweet Pea has the best smile. She does that thing where she looks at you and kind of shyly turns her head and tucks her gin to her shrugged shoulder and just smiles at you. It gets me every time. She’s 1 year old and a true beauty.

Together, we’re just a family that decided going to seminary was just one of the ways that we can honor Jesus with the lives he’s given us. It’ll probably be hard… We’ll probably hit some bumps along the way, but I am convinced that Jesus is well able to keep and sustain us. To Him be glory forever.

That’s a little about us. If you’re interested in learning a little more about our journey in seminary, here is a link to a posts that details our journey.
