When money is tight as a seminarian, does anyone besides me end up at this website?

I just passed the Chief of Chaplains officer accessions board for my application to be a Chaplain Candidate in the Army National Guard. From a financial perspective, I get paid for weekend drills and I get tuition assistance for seminary while my only obligation is the typical National Guard duty of one weekend/month and two weeks/year. That said, don’t do it just for the money. Make sure you have a heart to serve those who take up arms in defense of our country. You will likely deal with some difficult situations and some difficult people. If you do not already have friends who are military chaplains, feel free to email me for more info. I hope the Lord’s material provision for you comes quickly, regardless of the means.
